Focus Family Mediation Sheffield was established in 1993 when we were part of the family team of a major Sheffield law firm. During this time, we built up an enviable reputation for the quality of our service to clients. In 2011 Focus Family Mediation became an independent mediation service.
Carmel Doyle, who leads the practice, is a solicitor. She is a member of Resolution, which is an organisation specifically for lawyers and mediators dealing with family issues. Carmel is also a member of the Family Mediators Association and a trained Collaborative Lawyer.
Carmel is fully accredited by the Legal Aid Agency to conduct mediations funded by Legal Aid. Not all mediators have this higher level of accreditation.
At Focus Family Mediation in Sheffield, all our mediators are trained in Direct Consultation with children during the mediation process.
